The exhibition of modern European glass engraving in Glashütte Gernheim 2023 03/19 – 09.09.2023

With the special exhibition ”Engraving on Tour”, the art of engraving is once again given a stage in the Gernheim glassworks: the focus is not on the traditional technique, but on contemporary art that uses this technique. The exhibition is supported by the members of the ”Glass Engraving Network” (GEN). With the exhibition, the Glass Engraving Network is also celebrating its 10th anniversary. The artists find their common basis in the intention to free engraving from the centuries-old ”classical” tradition and to make it fruitful for contemporary art.
