Tapiola church’s new baptismal tree Paju (ENG: Willow) will be inaugurated in Tapiola church on January 6th, 2023. The baptismal tree is placed on the north wall along the main corridor leading to the church hall. A hand blown glass lens casts a projection of a foliage on the wall. Within the leaves of light is a single tree branch cast in bronze, on which the names of the baptized children are hung written on paper leaves. Over the course of time, the tree gradually fills up, reminding of new life and new parishioners.

Artist Kirsti Taiviola will be present at Tapiola church on Epiphany Friday 6th January 2023 at noon to present her work. The work will be announced at the church coffees after the Epiphany mass. The address of the church is Kirkkopolku 6, Espoo.
